Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association after being sent off in Saturday's Premier League win over Cardiff .
Mourinho protested what he saw as time-wasting by the Bluebirds players, and was forced to watch the final stages of the game from the stands .
The FA deemed that the Portuguese 's behaviour at Stamford Bridge constituted improper conduct and have levied the "standard fine'.
Mourinho has escaped a touchline ban, however, meaning he will be back on the bench for the Blues ' game against Manchester City this weekend.
Chelsea are full of confidence having seen off Schalke in the Champions League this week, as Petr Cech admitted after that game.
