The top two players in the world, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, were up against up each other in the final of the ATP World Tour Finals
World No.1 Nadal entered the O2 Arena for the main event of the evening
Second-ranked Djokovic came into the contest on a 21-match winning run and bidding for his fourth straight title
One Direction's Niall Horan was among the crowd at a packed O2 Arena
Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere was also in attendance
Djokovic broke at the first opportunity, racing into a 3-0 lead
Djokovic had break point for 4-0 but Nadal survived and then went on to level the opening set at 3-3
But the Spaniard was being given the run-around and soon dropped serve again to trail 5-3
This time Djokovic served it out to take the opening set 6-3
Nadal was soon under pressure again and dropped serve early in the second set
Djokovic went on to clinch a 6-3 6-4 victory to win the season-ending event for the third time
Djokovic soon got the celebrations under way
