Danny Emerton celebrates his goal for Northampton
A review of Sunday's action in the FA Cup second-round, including victories for Northampton and Burton Albion.
Northampton survived a scare as goals from Danny Emerton and Luke Norris secured a 2-1 win at non-League Bishop's Stortford and booked a place in the second round of the FA Cup.
The Conference South outfit threatened an unlikely comeback when Reece Prestedge fired home with nine minutes to go but League Two's bottom side held on for just their third win of the season.
The Cobblers took the lead on the hour, with Emerton firing in from 25 yards.
Then Norris, on loan from Brentford, doubled the lead eight minutes later with an effort from a similar position.
Prestedge got the hosts back into the game with a thumping shot from the edge of the box but they could not find a second to force a replay.
Burton overcame Conference outfit Hereford 2-0 to clinch a second-round trip to League Two rivals Fleetwood.
Adam McGurk gave Burton the lead with his seventh of the season and victory was sealed by youngster Matty Palmer's first career goal late on.
Meanwhile, Shortwood of the Calor League Southern Division One South and West take on Micky Adams' League One side Port Vale in the first round on Monday night.
