Chelsea 2 Liverpool 1: Eto'o slides in to score winner for Blues as Mignolet makes second dreadful howler of the week... but striker should have seen red early on

Brendan Rodgers will be sick of the sight of Samuel Eto'o after the striker was involved at both ends as Chelsea hung on to beat Liverpool.

He slid in to convert from an Oscar cross but only thanks to a shocking mistake from Simon Mignolet. But he could have been sent off at the start of the game when he raked his studs down Jordan Henderson's knee, well before he scored the winner.

And then late on he was involved in a penalty shout when Luis Suarez was taken out inside the Chelsea box off the ball.

A Chelsea striker actually scores! Samuel Eto'o got the home side's second of the game, but not without a helping hand from Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet
