Kenya continue winning streak at Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens

Kenya continued with their fine start at the Nelson Mandela Bay Sevens, beating Canada 24-12 in their second Pool B match.

At half time, the scores were level at 7-7 as a result of a try from Leonard Mugaisi and a conversion from Biko Adema with Canada responding soon after with Harry Jones scoring a try and Philip Mack making the conversion.

Kenya started the second half on the back foot as Andrew Amonde was sent to the sin bin 53 seconds in.

Justin Douglas scored Canada's second try of the match although Mack missed the subsequent conversion.

With the score at 7-12, Kenya powered ahead when Horace Otieno scored a try and Adema made the conversion to make the score 14-12. Collins Injera then scored a try to put Kenya 19-12 ahead before Humphrey Mulama put the game to bed with a late try.

ONE SIDED

Earlier, Kenya beat Spain 28-0 in a one sided encounter in their opening Pool B match.

Injera and Amonde scored a try each in the first half with Adema making both conversions for Kenya to go into the break 14-0 ahead. The onslaught continued after the interval with Otieno and Oscar Ayodi scoring one try each and Adema once again converting for the win.
