The Spaniards were reduced to 10 men after 55 minutes when Hector Martinez was dismissed for a reckless foul, but central defender Jaime Sanchez struck the solitary goal with 18 minutes left.

Fernandez began his youth career at Juventus but moved to Real Madrid when Zinedine made his £50million switch in 2004.
The teenager, who wears the No 10 shirt, has not represented Real at senior level yet, but was invited to train with the first team by then-manager Jose Mourinho in 2011.

At the end of February Fernandez trained with the French U19 squad.
Despite his call up, however, he is eligible to play for either France or Spain, as well as Algeria, from where his paternal grandparents hail.
