Late Stanislaus Okurut
[EKIMEEZA OBITUARY] – The husband of Mary Kororo, Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Stanislaus Okurut, has died.
He died Saturday morning at his home in Ntinda, a Kampala suburb.
Ms Karoro, also the Bushenyi Woman MP could not be reached immediately for comment.
However, sources close to the family said he succumbed to heart failure.
He, had had a minor surgery early this week and discharged, and was recovering from home.
Mary Karooro Okurut, Serving the same Ministry as her late Husband in the same Regime, for the Same President.
He served in several capacities in government, among others as Minister of Labour, Minister of Sports (1986-1988) and Minister of Transport.
By press time his body had been taken to Mulago hospital for post mortem
