Manchester, England – Manchester United’s holding midfielder Michael Carrick will be out for four to six weeks with an Achilles injury, the club said.
The 32-year-old Carrick played the full 90 minutes in United's 1-0 win over Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday but withdrew from international duty with England on Tuesday citing the injury.
He is likely to miss United's final two group matches in the Champions League as well as Premier League games against Cardiff, Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle. – Sapa-AP
