Diego Maradona reportedly flew off the handle when he thought his fiancée had been flirting with Manchester United's David De Gea.
The Spanish goalkeeper met the legend this week when David Moyes took his beleaguered Reds on a warm-weather break to Dubai.
And Maradona is said to have 'exploded with jealousy' when he became suspicious that bride-to-be Rocia Oliva was getting a little too close to De Gea.

Argentine television claimed Oliva tried to swap social network details with the 23-year-old.
Talking on a show called Intrusos - translated as 'intruders' - presenter Jorge Rial said: 'It's a real mess. Diego exploded with jealousy.'
Maradona only proposed to Oliva, 23, last week at a 'massive party' in Rome.
The show posted on its Twitter feed that 'five days after swearing eternal love to each other, a huge scandal has erupted.'
Journalist Marcela Tauro added: 'Maradona got furious with Oliva and they almost came to blows.
'They had two very bad days but now they're a bit better.'

Moyes decided to take United away on a training camp with a 10-day gap between matches after their third round FA Cup humiliation against Swansea City meant they had last weekend off.
De Gea - who is dating stunner Edurne Garcia Almagro - had been delighted to meet the former Argentina captain, posting a picture on Twitter with the message: 'Great to be with the best number 10!' and is said to be stunned that he has been linked with the alleged bust-up.
A spokesman for the player said: 'David has never met or even heard of Mrs Maradona.'
Angelo Pisani, Maradona's lawyer, claimed: 'There's no problem between the three of them.'
