LOCAL TANZANIAN ARTISTS PAINTING TO SUPPORT DAWATI NI ELIMU

The First of its kind mayoral ball aims to raise TZS 4.98 Billion towards providing desk to 30,487 primary and secondary schools in Ilala Municipality by end of financial year 2013/14. 100% of all funds shall proceeds towards realization of this project.

To assist towards the Fund raising for the Desks, The Hyatt Regency Kilimanjaro Hotel has led the path by Hosting A charity art Auction Brunch, where by proceeds from this event will go towards procuring the desks.

Ten Local Tanzania Artiste are being hosted by Hyatt Regency for 5 days where the artiste are creating their works of Art at the hotel premises. The art created will then later be auctioned off to the guests attending the Brunch on 16 November.

The Mayor Jerry silaa visited the artists as they were at the studio at the Hyatt regency Kilimanjaro towards the preparation of the brunch

Robert Ntilo, one of Tanzania’s leading artists, who spoke on behalf of all artists stated, “This is a very great initiative by Mayor Silaa and we are very proud to have been invited to participate towards this goal and using our creative Talent, we can make a difference”
